I don’t believe that there’s any dripper, tank or clearo system on the market right now that will comply with the TPD Article 20 (was article 18a). If you really believe your chosen device will pass, as long as you don’t need over 20mg/ml juice which a lot of people do. Look at this list of regulatory guidelines.
Devices must be:
- Leak proof in operation Leak proof is simply impossible.
- Designed with a leak proof filling mechanism How on earth do you design a leak proof filling mechanism?
- Child resistant and therefore impossible for my hands to get open as a disabled user.
- Tamper-proof Will I have to put a PIN in to get into it? Well no – but I can’t rebuild it.
Even if you do have a magic product that complies with all of the above, or you think you’ll be able to obtain them under the counter which opens whole new cans of worms and is not a route I’ll be going down. Hang on a second. What about the smokers like I was who now won’t have the choices I had in order to switch? The ones who need over 20 mg/ml in order to successfully switch. The ones that pick up a cigalike and find it’s not good enough, say now what and get told, “that’s it, that, quit or die.” They’ll keep on smoking tobacco until the day they die. They’ll smoke for the nicotine and die from the smoke. So if you’re all right Jack, I don’t want to know you. If you’re on the side of vapers, past, present or future, then you need to be proactive in getting the EFVI signed by as many people as possible. We need to fight this.
